Examples

MCSA has implemented systems for electronic trading, investment management, large-scale process control, market datafeed analysis and distribution, foreign exchange and web commerce, among others.

Our clients include major international banks, mutual funds, software development companies and the European Laboratory for High-Energy Physics (CERN).

At CERN, we assisted in analysing and designing the next generation of control systems for their large particle detectors. The detectors are enormous – made up of over 100,000 components that must be monitored and controlled in real time. As is often the case, the first proposals emphasized the speciality of the proposers, and mixed requirements with implementation - the instrumentation mavens focused on hardware, the database gurus saw the database as paramount, etc.

In our analysis we were able to elicit significant information about the requirements and then state them clearly in a form independent of any particular hardware or software. We then helped produce a design that was independent of any particular platform.
